The Need

Foster Care is a community wide problem needing a community wide response. Everyone can do something.

Child development research tells us that children need consistency, predictability, and attachment to a caring adult to thrive. This is especially true for children in foster care, who have experienced trauma leading up to and including removal from their home and community.

Being a foster parent isn’t for everyone or every season of life. But everyone can make an impact by wrapping around families as an educated ‘village’ and supporting placement stability and health.

Help One Child has assembled a COVID-19 Committee tasked with reviewing orders and developing protocols to best help our community maintain good health practices and social distancing. If you are interested in reading our Guidelines and Protocol for our programs click below.
