Foster Care is a community wide problem needing a community wide response. Everyone can do something.
Child development research tells us that children need consistency, predictability, and attachment to a caring adult to thrive. This is especially true for children in foster care, who have experienced trauma leading up to and including removal from their home and community.
Being a foster parent isn’t for everyone or every season of life. But everyone can make an impact by wrapping around families as an educated ‘village’ and supporting placement stability and health.
