A Group for Adoptive Families (Kinship, Domestic, & International) in the Sacramento Area

Heart to Heart, an ambassador of Help One Child, is located in Roseville, California on the campus of Valley Springs Presbyterian Church. Heart to Heart is dedicated to the support of adoptive families in the greater Sacramento area and provides community, education and resources for adoptive families.

Yes. Please RSVP on or before the Monday immediately before the scheduled meeting.

  • 6-6:30PM:
    Pizza and salad dinner for kids and parents with RSVP
  • 6:30-8PM:
    Topical discussion for parents led by LMFT
  • 6:30-8PM:
    Structured childcare with RSVP

After dinner, the support group starts with a time of sharing, moves into a learning time, and concludes with a group discussion. The goal is for each parent to leave feeling heard and experiencing connection with other adoptive parents while learning new skills and acquiring resources.

She specializes in helping parents learn practices that promote the development of competence, self-regulation, attachment, and character in children that have come to their adoptive families from hard places.
