Historically, we have required all Giving Tree requests to be submitted by October, where they are distributed to local churches that sponsor and purchase the gifts requested. We are considering shifting Giving Tree to a “shopping experience” that will allow parents/caregivers to pick out items from a display of age-appropriate popular items. The church would no longer purchase child-specific requested items, but rather donate a top or item for a specific gender and age range.
