Virtual Training with Beth Hall

November 9, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Open Foster and Adoptive Placements

Our November Monthly Parent Training explores connecting with the bio family and will be led by Beth Hall, co-founder and co-director of PACT, An Adoption Alliance, a multicultural adoption organization dedicated to addressing essential issues affecting adopted children of color.  Her book is (co-authored with Gail Steinberg),Inside Transracial Adoption. She is a transracial adoptive parent and was raised in an adoptive family, with an adoptive sibling.

Recognizing that there are no cookie cutter approaches to building a positive triad relationship, this workshop will address the following kinds of questions and more: How can birth family members remain connected to a foster child without confusing the child? How can complex relationships between adoptive and birth parents be managed for the support of a child? What’s reasonable and how do decisions affect the child? When should a child meet his/her birth family?

Once you register for this virtual training, you will receive an email with the zoom joining details.

For virtual childcare during the training, please reach out to for a one to one virtual volunteer match for your child with one of our vetted volunteers.  Your child will need a device.  Please reach out no later than Thursday, November 4th.
