Support Group Hosted: Helping Your Child Learn to Trust and Accept Authority

Linda M. Ikeda, RN, MFT, will be teaching on the first and second-year cycles in infant development (from her book, Created to Belong). During the first year of life, infants learn to trust. During the second year of life, children learn to accept authority. This is the beginning of conscience development. When these foundational cycles get interrupted by early trauma, it impacts all future emotional and psychological development. Linda will share practical interventions that parents can use now, to help repair any disruptions that may have happened during these foundational two years of life.
