Replanted Conference: Volunteer
October 14, 2022 @ 9:00 am – October 15, 2022 @ 2:30 pm
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We are thrilled to host this conference in collaboration with PBC Palo Alto, University, The Highway, and Crossroads to bring a healing and rejuvenating conference to families impacted by foster care and adoption. The Replanted Conference provides a time away for caregivers to be refreshed, equipped, and inspired! Thank you for joining us and wrapping around the families in attendance.
The Replanted Conference is only possible because of the vast team of volunteers that help make it happen. We need a robust volunteer team to make sure that the Replanted conference runs as smoothly as possible. This is a great opportunity to serve our families in a tangible way.[/vc_column_text][vc_tta_accordion active_section=”1″ title=”Volunteer Role Descriptions”][vc_tta_section title=”Simulcast Volunteer Roles” tab_id=”1660969040874-436eae7b-c471″][vc_column_text]Welcome/Goodbye Team: A positive, helpful, and friendly first point of contact responsible for providing hospitality and efficient information of service to event attendees. Welcome the attendees, invite them to stop at the concession table, and be available to answer questions.
Worship Team: Join the worship team to lead the first 15-20 minutes of the conference in live worship.
Prayer Team: Open, compassionate and faithful volunteers willing to sit, listen and pray with attendees at the conference. This person’s gifts include faith and nonjudgmental listening.
Pampering: Help imagine a theme and then provide a fun, relaxing, renewing, and pampering environment for attendees who are getting a much-needed break away from their children. Our hope is to provide professional services such as a hair barber or stylist, manicurist, makeup artist, color consultant, aromatherapy expert, and yoga/exercise instructor. Any professional “pampering” service that can bless parents.
Hype Team: A large group of volunteers who are super fun and don’t mind being silly in front of a crowd. Plan and implement providing surprises throughout the two days to attendees. Enjoy blessing attendees with the element of surprise and distribute “no way” gifts throughout the weekend, cheer and be enthusiastic as attendees leave the conference. (great for high schoolers!)[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Childcare Volunteer Roles” tab_id=”1660969040875-f5051b56-d855″][vc_column_text]Childcare Volunteers: The older children will be broken into two to three additional age groups (4-7 years), (8-12 years), and (13+ years) depending on the number and age range of sign-ups. Each group will rotate through different activities (crafts, dancing, lawn games, indoor games, playground, etc.)
Meal Crew: Oversee the pickup and distribution logistics of lunch and snacks for all childcare and volunteers.
Craft/Games Leaders: The Activity Leader oversees the selection, preparation, and day-of games/activity needs such as materials and instructions. Identify an age-group-appropriate activity for the event. Activity Leaders will identify and/or recruit volunteers to participate on the activity team. The Activity Leader will provide instructions to the group and oversee the activity during that time.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
