How to Help Your Kids Navigate the Challenges of Life

This is an important workshop because statistics show that a high percentage of foster and adopted youth end up with a teen pregnancy, drug abuse or getting sex trafficked.  In this workshop, you will learn how to help your child develop a value system that they can rely on to help them make good decisions.  When you help your child develop a value system, it helps your child be able to talk with you about their decisions and for you to help them, as well. 

Explore your own values and help develop personal values for your kids. To rely on a parent’s values, like I can’t do this because I promised my mom that I wouldn’t is perfectly valid. Parents will explore ways to discuss choices around values with a child.
