Laura Beth DeHority, MA, AMFT, will lead a discussion on setting limits that are healthy and essential to maintain parental sanity. Setting boundaries for your own self-care provides your children with:
- essential tools to establish their own internal “thermometers” for their emotions and behavior
- a sense of true security from limits that provide emotional and physical safety
- the ability to both accept tough limits and advocate appropriately for their own needs
This training will focus on teaching the parent how to present limits to children in a way children can accept by using appropriate rewards and consequences.
