Life Is Like A Carnival

Every year Santa Clara County hosts a Youth Empowerment Summit (YES!2020) for Foster Care and Juvenile Justice girls, ages 14-24, who are extremely vulnerable to exploitation and high-risk influences due to familial circumstances that are out of their control. In the last 2 years, we have served 122 youth at this event and we are estimating to serve approximately 100 girls at YES!2020 due to invitations being extended to our schools and surrounding counties.
At this annual event, we embrace our youth and give them a safe space to explore their personal growth. We inspire complete wellness, encourage safe relationships and build self-confidence through a day full of fun workshops that will explore their self-esteem, creative writing and art expression as well as the experience of keynote speakers, community resources, participation incentives, SWAG (Stuff We All Get) Bag, Silent Auction raffle giveaways, breakfast, and lunch.
