Family Coaches support biological families by visiting with and listening to the parents while observing family dynamics. During this the Family Coach is able to provide feedback, help the parents set goals, and keep the children in the care of their parents. In the midst of this process a relationship is born and a community is formed.
CarePortal is an online platform that brings the needs of hurting children and families in our community to the church’s attention. As the Regional Manager, Help One Child collaborates with county child welfare workers to uncover the needs, and makes local churches aware, giving them a real-time opportunity to respond. This simple technology allows us to extend our reach, serving more families and building a meaningful bridge between Church and State in our area.
Our support groups train and encourage parents and relative caregivers who are trying to help foster, adopted and other at-risk children establish healthy attachments within the family. Volunteers are needed to run childcare during these monthly support groups. Find out if there is a support group in your city!
