This class will benefit anyone who is faced with “out of control” behavior from their child, to:

  • Develop a self-control plan
  • Identify measures to reduce crisis situations
  • Review the principles of crisis communication
  • Learn the four common causes for crisis situations
  • Determine what motivates your child
  • Recognize how communication is the cause of crisis
  • Take Home hands-on tools to use with your kids

About our Speaker:

Kristin Carroll, MSW

Kristin, did the teaching time a couple of months ago at the Los Altos Parent Child Connection, as well as the Reset Day event held at Help One Child. She was adopted herself, at the age of 3 months. She believes she grew up with the a marker of Reactive Attachment Disorder. Now she is currently employed by the Los Altos School District as the Behavior Specialist in the Therapeutic Special Day Class for students whose emotional issues impact their ability to access the school environment. Prior to this job, Kristin has been a behavior specialist in other schools, as well as a counselor in residential treatment centers, group homes, and domestic violence shelters.
