Signs Of Hope Camp Volunteer 2020
August 9 @ 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
WE’LL PREPARE YOUR MIND, HEART AND HANDS SO THAT YOUR SOUL IS FED WHILE YOU SERVE THE NEEDS OF OTHERS.
Touch the lives of local foster and adopted youth through fun activities, bible study, and more! Our camp provides an opportunity for community among children with similar challenges surrounding family structure and adverse experiences.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, there are very specific restrictions on recreational outdoor camps in Santa Cruz County. Because of this, we are unable to host an overnight event this year. But, we are still looking forward to spending one jam-packed day at camp with the campers. Although this year will look different, you will be instrumental in making this event the best ending to a very unique summer! Join our team and live out Christ’s love by becoming a volunteer at A Day At Camp.
However, we will continue to follow the updated CDC guidelines and let you know if anything changes, or if we need to cancel by August 1st.
I can’t wait to see the kids again, some of the kids I have seen throughout the year. I love to do all of the activities and spend my time serving this group. I also think it’s a good exercise for me to take time off work and focus on something else for one week. I love hanging out with other adults and staff, building relationships!
I had a great time last year. It was my first year and didn’t know what to expect. I felt the Lord nudging me to volunteer last year and I met a great group of folks. They really care about the kids and their futures. I felt we all made a difference in the kid’s lives (even if we only saw them for a week).
