Reset Day: Emotional Connecting and Attuning to your Child from Hard Places

January 21, 2023 @ 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

Emotional Connection and Attuning to Your Child

Join us for our IN PERSON Reset Day on a Saturday morning in January 2023. The East Bay location and finalized date are still tbd. Make connections with other foster, adoptive and kinship parents who get it!
Gather to reset and get equipped to better attune and connect with your children. This can help enhance development and heal trauma within your family and with your children. Get ready for in-person interaction, moving your chair around for different small group configurations, and varied formats of presenting, including lectures, activities, and opportunities for debriefing and reflecting as we reset and start the summer off right for more connection and attuning with our children and loved ones.
Topics and Practical Parenting Approaches Addressed will Include:

·      Self-assessment and self-regulating skills
·      Self awareness, engagement and presence
·      Steps to attune with intent
·      Openness to communicate safety, reliability and trustworthiness for your child

·      Connection and the power of using attunement to create relationship
·      Emotional connection with your child vs. a fixing mentality

Breakfast goodies, coffee, tea, water and snacks are provided! Please register for trauma informed childcare and any adults attending below 7 days prior to the event. We are also hoping to offer a lunch for your entire family afterwards to help build community with other families who share similar traits or experiences to yours!
