Annual Reset Day Training: Fostering a Mutual Relationship between Parent and Child

January 6, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

$10.00

Re-Constructing the Communication Building Blocks

Don Williams, PsyD will lead parents through skill-building exercises to help them teach their children the key fundamentals of:
  • How to repair relationships
  • How to receive feedback without negativity
  • How to take compliments
Children and youth will then join their parents for the last segment of the training where Dr. Don will explore these fundamentals from the child’s perspective and guide both parent and child to discover a new approach to problem solving.

About the Presenter:

Dr. Williams is one of Help One Child’s most beloved trainers. He began specializing in adoption and attachment in his early career.  His study of clinical neuroscience led him into a more general focus in the area of self-regulation disorders.  He focuses on aiding people in understanding the biological drivers of the disorders he is treating, as well as practical, skill-based interventions to aid parents and children in the process of re-patterning so that everyone can regulate more effectively. He has a private practice in Palo Alto, and has served on the Help One Child Education Advisory Board for over 15 years. In his spare time, he is an avid sailor and hiker. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology in Los Angeles.
