Signs of Hope Camp FAQ

Is this a faith-based camp? Signs of Hope Camps is a program of Help One Child and Mission Springs’ Frontier Ranch, which are both Christian organizations, however no child will be excluded due to religious preferences.

Do I need permission from my Social Worker? Yes!  Please download the social worker consent form, or forward them the link.  You may also have them contact Judy Holmes directly if they have any additional questions about Signs of Hope Camp, or Help One Child.

How much does it cost? Signs of Hope Camp is free to foster children, thanks to the generosity of our supporters.  Click Here to donate to our campership fund!

What does my child need to bring? Download the What to Bring list.

What if my child has special needs? Please contact Judy Holmes directly to explain the nature of your child’s needs and we will work with you to determine proper accommodation.

Does my child have to be there the whole time, or can they come for just a few days? Signs of Hope Camp is a week-long, residential camp.  Children will depart the Help One Child offices on Sunday afternoon, August 6th, and return Thursday afternoon, August 10th.

Is transportation provided? Yes!  All children will ride together with our staff on a chartered bus.

Can I meet the Help One Child staff in advance? Yes!  We invite you to participate in any of our other programs before camp to meet our staff and some of our volunteers.

What if my child’s school starts that week? Help One Child does not support children missing school to attend Signs of Hope Camp.  Please check with your school district to confirm their exact 2017 start date.
