Dr. Don Williams will be teaching regulation-focused parenting strategies for parents of children with challenging behaviors. Research has shown that understanding what motivates and what threatens your child is key to being a successful therapeutic parent. In this seminar, Dr. Williams will further your understanding of your child's behavior patterns or "working model" so that you can be more effective and less frustrated when you intervene.

About our speaker: A graduate of Rosemead School of Psychology, Dr. Don Williams is a leading Bay Area psychologist who specializes in Attachment Disorder and oppositional behaviors. He helped found Help One Child's monthly parent support group the Parent Child Connection in 1999 and has provided guidance and training since then. His extensive experience with parents and children in the area of attachment and bonding spans the last 18 years. Dr. Williams' methods focus on helping parents learn how to regulate their own emotions and behaviors in order to best help the child learn self-regulation. |
